Webinar:
Spatial Mapping of Mechanical Properties: Utilising PIP Testing in Additive Manufacturing

This webinar, done in partnership with the University of Limerick, will delve into the insights gained from a comprehensive series of tests on an additively manufactured part.

This webinar will explore the findings of a groundbreaking case study that utilised PIP (Profilometry-Based Indentation Plastometry) testing to detect property variations in additively manufactured parts. Through the examination of maraging steel samples, the study compared the effectiveness of PIP testing with traditional tensile testing in understanding the mechanical properties. The results revealed significant spatial variations in the material's strength related to its distance from the build plate. Utilising PIP testing, the University of Limerick was able to accurately map these variations, providing valuable information for informed design decisions and optimising additive manufacturing processes.

Don't miss this opportunity to discover how PIP testing uncovers hidden insights into property variations, enabling the production of higher quality and consistently reliable additively manufactured parts.
